For their second participation in the Sud Ladies Cup, Japan won the 2023 edition of the competition. Cameroon finish in second place, ahead of France and Panama. Here is the best XI of this 4th Sud Ladies Cup.

Cathy Biya (Cameroon)

The Cameroonian goalkeeper was extremely confident and made several decisive saves during the competition. To top it all off, she even saved a penalty kick before scoring the winning shot in the penalty shootout against France.

Nana Kashimura (Japan)

The right-back, who provided an assist against Panama, had an outstanding tournament. She was not only technically sound, but also defensively imperious.

Toko Koga (Japan)

With 224 minutes of time play, the central defender is the Japanese player with the most playing time. She is comfortable with her passes skills and in her positioning, and it is easy to understand why her coach has placed his trust in her.

Uno Shiragaki (Japan)

Together with Toko Koga, they formed a formidable and impregnable central defence. With no goals conceded in three matches, Japan finished as the best defence in the competition, and the 17-year-old had a hand in that.

Rina Nakatani (Japan)

Along with Koga, the left-back is the Japanese player who has played the most in the competition (224 minutes). Nakatani was tireless on her side and was never caught out when she had to defend.

Deysiré Salazar (Panama)

Captain of Panama, the midfielder has shown an incredible work rate and determination during the 2023 Sud Ladies Cup. The Tauro FC has impressed the observers and earned a deserved spot in the Tournament’s best XI.

Yuki Ogawa (Japon)

The 18-year-old midfielder was a constant threat for her opponents and helped her side both defensively and offensively thanks to her constant runs. A real added value in the Japanese midfield.

Momoko Tanikawa (Japon)

THE star of the tournament undoubtedly. Joint top-scorer of the competition and very gifted with the ball, she deservedly won the Best Player Award. The JFA Academy youngster looks set for a bright future !

Chinari Sasai (Japan)

If the Young Nadeshiko were so impressive on the offensive level, this is partly thanks to the efforts of the Nojima Stella forward. Very active on the attacking front, the 18-year-old player has been decisive as she found the net against both Panama (4-0) and France (7-0).

Rihona Ujihara (Japan)

134 minutes played, 3 goals scored : the Tokyo Verdy Beleza has been very efficient front of the goal during the Sud Ladies Cup 2023 ! After scoring against Panama (4-0), Ujihara netted a brace against France (7-0).

Brenda Ebika Tabe (Cameroon)

The Lionnes Indomptables captain has impressed the observers. Her exemplary work rate at the front throughout the whole 2023 Sud Ladies Cup has been rewarded with three goals : the 19-year-old striker netted a goal against (France, 3-3, 10-9 pen) before scoring a brace against Panama (3-1).
