« Je suis vraiment fier de mon équipe car je ne m’attendais pas à ce qu’on finisse troisième dans ce tournoi avec toutes ces bonnes équipes comme l’Angleterre, les Pays-Bas, ou même le Costa Rica et le Qatar. Il nous manquait des joueurs clés aujourd’hui à cause de blessures ou de suspensions et notre meilleur attaquant (Jordan Morris) a dû aller avec l’équipe A. Ce n’était pas un match facile pour nous mais c’était important d’avoir plusieurs jours de repos et les joueurs sont revenus en meilleure forme. Nous devons progresser dans notre style de jeu. Nous avons une équipe qui n’a peut-être pas le meilleur football mais avec un super esprit d’équipe et beaucoup de solidarité. C’était un régal d’entraîner cette équipe. L’attitude était super à chaque entraînement. Le début a été dur car nous avons joué quatre matchs en sept jours et les joueurs ne sont pas habitués à ça. Je suis vraiment heureux et je pense que cette troisième place est bonne pour le football américain. Nous sommes honorés de prendre part à ce tournoi et j’espère que nous serons invités l’année prochaine. »

“I am really proud of my team because I was not expecting a third place in this tournament with all this good teams like England, Netherlands, even Costa Rica and Qatar. We were missing some key players today because of injuries or suspensions and our best striker (Jordan Morris) had to go to the national team. It was not an easy game for us but it was important to have a couple of days off so the players came back in a better shape. From our style of playing, we have to improve. We have a team maybe not with the highest playing quality but we had such a great team spirit and everyone pushed each other. This was a real fun to train this team. The attitude was great in every training session. The beginning was tough for us because we had four games in seven days and players are not used to this. I am really happy and I think the third place is good for the US soccer. We are honored to be part of this tournament and hopefully we get invitation for the next tournament.”
