Le Portugal battu lors de la finale de l’Euro Espoirs

Le Portugal, s’est incliné ce mardi soir, face à la Suède (0-0, 3-4 pen) lors de la finale de l’Euro Espoirs. Sept joueurs ayant disputé le Festival International Espoirs étaient présents dans le onze de départ du Portugal : José Sa, Ricardo Esgaio, Tiago Ilori, Sergio Oliveira, Ivan Cavaleiro, Ricardo, Joao Mario.
La meilleure occasion côté portugais était d’ailleurs l’œuvre de Sergio Oliveira dont le coup franc a heurté la barre transversale à la 6e minute.

Un manque d’efficacité que les jeunes Portugais vont regretter puisqu’ils ont perdu ensuite lors des tirs au but. Malgré cette défaite, le Portugal est assuré de disputer les Jeux Olympiques 2016 puisque l’équipe a terminé parmi les quatre meilleures équipes de cet Euro Espoirs.

Portugal lost the U21 Euro final
Portugal were beaten, this Tuesday night, by Sweden on penalties (0-0, 3-4 pen) during the U21 Euro final.Seven Toulon Tournament former players were in the Portugal starting line-up : José Sa, Ricardo Esgaio, Tiago Ilori, Sergio Oliveira, Ivan Cavaleiro, Ricardo, Joao Mario.

The best chance for Portugal, by the way, came from Sergio Oliveira after 6 minutes but his effort hit the cross bar. The young Portuguese will regret this lack of efficiency as they lost during the penalty shootout.
Despite this defeat, Portugal will take part in the 2016 Olympic Games as the team finished among the four best teams in this U21 Euro.
