Début de saison en fanfare d’Erick Torres avec Houston Dynamo !
Peu utilisé lors des saisons précédentes, Erick Torres a peut-être gagné sa place de manière définitive dans le onze de départ de Houston Dynamo grâce à son début de saison canon.
Houston a remporté ses deux premiers matchs de la saison en Major League Soccer et le doit en grande partie à son attaquant de 24 ans : l’international mexicain (4 sélections, 1 but) a tout d’abord inscrit un joli coup franc face aux tenants du titre Seattle Sounders (2-1) avant de récidiver ce week-end en marquant un but absolument superbe contre Colombus Crew (3-1). Lancé à l’entrée de la surface, Torres a gratifié le public d’un joli contrôle avant d’enchaîner avec une frappe en pleine lucarne (voir vidéo ci-dessous).
Torres, passé par le Festival International Espoirs en 2011 et en 2016, pourrait bien être l’un des hommes clés de Houston cette saison…
