L'Ecosse s'impose dans la difficulté face à l'Indonésie
L'Ecosse bat difficilement l'Indonésie, 2-1 lors de la troisième et dernière journée du groupe C.
Privés d'Oliver Burke, les Ecossais ont dû batailler dur pour arracher la victoire face à l'Indonésie. Auteur d'un doublé (33', 63'), Hardie (SCO, 9) permet à l'Ecosse de rester en vie en attendant le résultat de la rencontre entre le Brésil et la République Tchèque. L'attaquant des Glasgow Rangers a d'abord trouvé le chemin des filets sur une frappe enroulée depuis l'extérieur de la surface puis sur un penalty provoqué par Anthony Ralston,
Après être montés en puissance pendant la première mi-temps et avoir mené à la marque grâce à Saghara (24'), les Indonésiens n'ont pas tenu le coup dans le deuxième acte. Malgré de très bonnes intentions, les hommes d'Indra Sjafri ont été trop justes physiquement et n'ont pas su trouver les ressources nécessaires pour recoller au score et n'ont pu éviter la défaite.
L'Ecosse reste en vie avant République Tchèque – Brésil. De son côté, l'Indonésie, pour sa première participation au Festival International Espoirs, repart sans le moindre point mais aura proposé un jeu séduisant.
