Ike Ugbo effectue ses débuts en pro avec Barnsley
Prêté par Chelsea à Barnsley (D2 anglaise) pour une saison, le jeune attaquant anglais Ike Ugbo a effectué ses débuts en professionnel ce week-end à l’occasion de la première journée de Championship entre Barnsley et Bristol Ciy (1-3).
Titularisé à la pointe de l’attaque de Barnsley, le joueur de 18 ans a disputé 79 minutes, signe que son entraîneur compte probablement sur lui pour le reste de la saison.
Pour rappel, Ugbo a remporté le Festival International Espoirs 2017 avec l’Angleterre. Il a contribué à ce succès en marquant notamment le but victorieux contre l’Angola (1-0) en phase de groupes.
