Sebastian Giovinco guide Toronto FC vers le premier titre de MLS de son histoire !
Ce samedi soir, le Toronto FC a remporté la Major League Soccer pour la première fois de son histoire en venant à bout des champions en titre Seattle Sounders (2-0) au terme d’une finale totalement maitrisée.
Arrivé en 2015 à Toronto en provenance de la Juventus Turin, Sebastian Giovinco remporte enfin un premier titre collectif après avoir battu tous les records individuels de la ligue nord-américaine sous les couleurs du club canadien.
Comme à l’accoutumée, l’international italien (23 capes) s’est encore une fois montré décisif lors d’un grand match puisqu’il a été à l’origine des deux buts inscrits par son équipe au cours de cette finale.
Le vainqueur du Festival International Espoirs 2008 aura été prépondérant dans le titre obtenu par Toronto comme en atteste son bilan de 17 buts et 7 passes décisives en 29 matchs de championnat cette saison.
