Sergio Diaz, winner of the Toulon Tournament 2016 breakthrough player award, has joined Real Madrid this summer from Cerro Porteno (Paraguay). Los Blancos offered him a six-year-contract while the transfer fee is believed to be around €6M. Without doubt, the 18-year-old has plenty of potential.
Since joining Madrid in July, the Paraguay U20 international has adapted quickly to the European football as he enjoyed a promising start to the season with the Real Madrid reserve team. Diaz has already netted 8 goals in 19 games in all competitions with Castilla. Now, his aim is to maintain his good form during the next months to have a chance to make the step up to the Real Madrid first team in a near future.
