Ederson Moraes forced his way back into Benfica’s first-team plans

After being the back-up goalkeeper during the first games of the season, Ederson established himself as the Benfica’s first-choice goalkeeper over the last weeks thanks to his impressive performances.

The 23-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper played 7 games in all competitions with the Lisbon-based club and has cemented his place as he recorded… 6 clean sheets ! Ederson Moraes, winner of the Toulon Tournament 2014, was named in the Brazil squad for the Copa America 2016 last summer but had been left out of the squad due to injury. If the Osasco-born continues to shine with Benfica, he will not wait a long time to earn a new Brazil call-up…
