Davinson Sanchez, the Ajax Amsterdam solid stopper

img

Since joining Ajax Amsterdam this summer from Atletico Nacional, Davinson Sanchez has produced a number of convincing performances. The 20-year-old defender, who took part in the Toulon Tournament 2014, has adapted quickly to Dutch football : Sanchez has already started 7 Eredivisie games and has netted 2 goals (a brace against PEC Zwolle).

Impressive with Ajax Amsterdam, Sanchez was rewarded by a Colombia call-up on September. Even if the young Colombian defender stayed on the bench against Venezuela (2-0), this call-up shows that the Copa Libertadores 2016 winner has caught the eye of Colombia head coach. If Sanchez build on his promising start with Ajax Amsterdam, there is no doubt that he will have another opportunity to make his international debut in a near future.
