After winning the Mexican championship in December, Tigres have the opportunity to win another title as they will face defending champion Club America in the CONCACAF Champion’s League final. The first leg will be played on this Wednesday in the Estadio Universitario while the second leg will be held at the Estadio Azteca on April 27.
Four Tigres players who took part in the Toulon Tournament in the past will feature in this final against Club America : Javier Aquino (Toulon Tournament 2012), Hugo Ayala (Toulon Tournament 2006), Antonio Briseno (Toulon Tournament 2014) and José Rivas (Toulon Tournament 2005). It should be noted that Tigres have never clinched the CONCACAF Champion’s League title until now. Can they make history ?
