Kashima Antlers are crowned Japan champions for the 8th time of their history after beating Urawa Red Diamonds during the J-League finals thanks to the away goals rule (0-1 in the first leg, 1-2 in the second leg).
Naomichi Ueda, who took part in the Toulon Tournament 2016, helped his team to clinch the title as the 22-year-old defender played 22 league games this season including 20 as a starter. Kashima Antlers clinched the J-League title for the first time since 2009 and they will take part in the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2016 this month (8 December-18 December).
