Gremio ended a 15-year trophy drought as they won the 5th Brazilian Cup of their history after beating Atletico Mineiro in the final. After a 3-1 win during the first leg, the “Tricolor” secured the title as the Porto Alegre-based club earned a 1-1 draw in the second leg on this Thursday.

Luan Guilherme, winner of the Toulon Tournament 2014, helped his team to clinch the title as he played 8 games and scored a crucial goal against Cruzeiro during the semi-finals. It’s an unforgettable year for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder who also won the 2016 Olympic Games with Brazil.
