After three years spent at Stade Rennais, Paul-Georges Ntep will discover a new championship. The France international (2 caps) has penned on this Monday a four-and-a-half year deal with Wolfsburg for an undisclosed fee. He will wear the number 9 shirt.
Valérien Ismaël, the Wolfsburg head coach, was full of praise for Ntep. "With Paul-Georges, we have distinctly improved the quality we possess on the wing. He is extremely pacy, technically gifted and, for such a young player, he is very experienced. His signing makes us more flexible tactically and even more difficult to reckon with going forward", he said to the official website.
Ntep, who took part in the Toulon Tournament 2013, has forged a reputation as one of the most exciting wingers in the French Ligue 1. The 24-year-old has netted 18 goals and delivered 15 assists in 74 league games with Stade Rennais.
Now, he has to replicate this kind of performances with Wolfsburg, a club which has featured regularly in the European competitions over the last years.
