After Wales, Ivory Coast and Scotland, we are delighted to announce that France will take part in the 45th edition of the Toulon Tournament. The French national team will play the Toulon Tournament for the 40th time !
Led by the head coach Jean-Claude Guntini, France will try to repeat their past glories. As a reminder, France have won the Toulon Tournament a record 12 times. Their last title was in 2015 : this year, the Bleuets and Thomas Lemar were unstoppable.
A number of current France internationals have played the Toulon Tournament when they were younger with the likes of Hugo Lloris (Toulon Tournament 2005 best goalkeeper), Moussa Sissoko (Toulon Tournament 2009 runner-up) as well as Djibril Sidibé.
Before them, some famous French players, now retired, cut their teeth in the Toulon Tournament. : we can talk about Zinédine Zidane, Thierry Henry or Robert Pires.
The Toulon Tournament 2017 will be held from May 29 to June 10. The competition will feature 12 teams placed in 3 four-team groups.
