We are delighted to announce that England will take part in the 45th edition of the Toulon Tournament. England are the fifth nation to confirm their place for the Festival with France, Ivory Coast, Scotland and Wales
England will compete in the Toulon Tournament for the 19th time. They have clinched the title five times : 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994 et 2016.
Last year, the Young Three Lions led by Gareth Southgate, who became the England senior squad head coach on November, were unstoppable as they earned five wins in as many games. They have been brilliant collectively and individually as the Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been named best player of the tournament while the Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Lewis Baker finished as the Toulon Tournament 2016 top scorer with 4 goals.
Some famous English players, now retired, cut their teeth in the Toulon Tournament : we can talk about Paul Gascoigne (1988), Alan Shearer (1991), Andy Cole (1992) as well as David Beckham (1995).
The Toulon Tournament 2017 will be held from May 29 to June 10. The competition will feature 12 teams placed in 3 four-team groups.
