We are delighted to announce that Japan will compete in the Toulon Tournament 2017 which will be held from 29 May to 10 June. The Japanese national team will take part in our competition for the 12th time.

Many famous Japanese players like Shinji Kagawa or Keisuke Honda took part in the Toulon Tournament in the past and the new generation is aiming to follow in its predecessors’ footsteps…

Last year, Japan led by promising players like Ryota Ohshima, Takuma Asano as well as Takumi Minamino (who all forced their way into the senior squad), have finished 8th. Until now, the Japan’s best run in the Toulon Tournament was made in 2002 when they have finished 3rd.

Seven nations have already confirmed their place for the Toulon Tournament 2017 : Wales, Ivory Coast, Scotland, France, England, Mali and Japan with the remaining nations to be announced soon.
