France keen to maintain momentum

The twelve-time Toulon Tournament winners France will compete in the 45th edition of the competition as the Group B’s seeded team.

During the last three editions of the Maurice Revello Tournament, the Bleuets have reached the final each time. In 2014, Adrien Rabiot and his teammates were outclassed by Brazil (2-5). One year later, France led by Thomas Lemar Lemar clinched the title after beating Morocco (3-1) in the final. In 2016, France were beaten by England (1-2).

This year, the new generation is aiming to follow the same path as their predecessors. To reach this goal, France will come with a squad composed, for the most part, of players who won the Euro U17 in 2015.

As a reminder, the Toulon Tournament 2017’s official line-up was unveiled on this Tuesday. A draw will be held very soon to determine the groups.
