More than 1700 international players took part in the Toulon Tournament founded in 1967 by Maurice Revello. Many of these players have enjoyed a successful career . Ahead of the 45th edition of the Toulon Tournament (29 May-10 June), we unveil you the best 100 players in the Toulon Tournament history. Today, we continue our countdown by looking at the players ranked 40-31.

Robert Pires and the Toulon Tournament, such a special history ! For a simple reason : if the former Arsenal player took part to the year 1994, he was not supposed to play it again on 1995.
A misunderstanding between FC Metz, his club at the moment, and French federation ended in a funny situation. Robert Pires shown up at the meeting place, such a big surprise for the head coach Roger Lemerre. He explained to his player that he was not called for the competition. Nevertheless, after a few minutes talking, he decided to bring him with the team and France reached the final !
