More than 1700 international players took part in the Toulon Tournament founded in 1967 by Maurice Revello. Many of these players have enjoyed a successful career . Ahead of the 45th edition of the Toulon Tournament (29 May-10 June), we unveil you the best 100 players in the Toulon Tournament history. On the 3rd spot, Thierry Henry !

From the Toulon Tournament to the World Cup title, the gap is little for some players. Like Thierry Henry. Winner of the Toulon Tournament in 1997, the famous French striker has clinched one year later the World Cup title with the France senior squad.
During his participation at the Toulon Tournament 1997, Henry has impressed the observers. Very gifted and very fast, Henry finished as the competition’s top scorer with 3 goals. He has also been named best player of the competition. Alongside David Trézéguet, Willy Sagnol, William Gallas and Mikaël Silvestre, he has led France to the title.
A long list of records
We didn’t know yet but the Toulon Tournament was the beginning of a fantastic career for him. The World Cup and Euro winner is Les Bleus all-time top goalscorer (51 goals). He is also the second most-capped player in the France history (123 caps).
Meanwhile, Henry has also became a legend at Arsenal as he scored 228 goals in 369 games with the Gunners.
During his career, Henry has also played at FC Barcelona where he will enjoy a successful spell. With the Catalan club, the former France international has won the Champion’s League as well as two Liga titles.
Henry is obviously one of the Toulon Tournament’s greatest ever players…
