Oliver Burke, the Scotland offensive spearhead

Maybe the star of Toulon Tournament this year. Oliver Burke, the 20-year-old right-winger, is set to martyrize tournament defenses. He is the Scotland offensive leader for the event. The 1m88 striker seems to be above the others, already at the high level.

If Oliver Burke is the star of his selection, it’s not by chance. The Scotsman already has great responsibilities. RB Leipzig made a big investment on him last summer. He was recruited for 15M € by the German club while he was playing in Nottingham Forest. After two seasons in Championship, the offensive player made a great start of the 2016/2017 season, scoring four goals and making an assist in five league games before going to Germany. If the player has drastically reduced his playing time when he arrived in Leipzig, expectations are still strong.

His status as a young star is also due to his international career. With 5 appearances, Oliver Burke already made part of the group of the senior national team since 29 March 2016. He came back with the others youngsters for the Tournament. So, the Scotsman want to show he didn’t reach the higher level by chance.
