Jonathan Bamba, who impressed at the Toulon Tournament 2016 (two goals scored during the competition, looks like he has finally started fulfilling his potential.
After two successive loan spells at Saint-Trond (Belgium) and Angers during the last season, Bamba came back this summer at Saint-Etienne and has emerged as one of the key players of Les Verts since the start to the season. The 21-year-old forward has netted two goals and delivered one assist in four Ligue 1 games.
The Frenchmen explains his current form by the experience earned at Angers on loan last season. “The loan at Angers helped me in different aspects. I have worked on myself and I became aware of my qualities. Now, I know that I can produce good things and I’m trying to show it on the pitch”, he told to the Saint-Etienne official website.
Meanwhile, Bamba has also enjoyed some exciting moments with his national team over the last weeks. The Saint-Etienne player has been called up to the France U21 squad for the first time on June and he has already netted two goals in four caps with Les Bleuets.
