Abdou Diallo, who moved this summer from AS Monaco to Mainz, seems to have adapted quickly to the German football.

The 21-year-old French defender has cemented his place in the Mainz starting XI as he started all the three games played by his side this season in Bundesliga.

The Toulon Tournament 2016 runner-up distinguished himself on this week-end as he netted his first goal in the German top-flight against Bayer Leverkusen (3-1).

Now, the France U21 captain hopes to build momentum after his promising start to the season.
