David Brooks made a name for himself this summer when he helped England to win the Toulon Tournament 2017. Brilliant throughout the competition, the 20-year-old midfielder has won the best player award.
After this successful campaign in the south of France, Brooks came back at Sheffield United with a new status. He made his Championship debut on August against Middlesbrough (0-1) and he has been handed his first start this month against Norwich City (0-1).
Convinced by his recent performances, his coach Chris Wilder put him in the starting XI for the derby against Sheffield Wednesday on this week-end. Brooks rewarded his coach’s confidence by producing a fantastic display during the 4-2 win over the rivals as he has distinguished himself with an assist and his technical abilities including this incredible nutmeg.
This stunning performance against Sheffield Wednesday shows that the Wales U21 international (he has switched his international allegiance after the Toulon Tournament) is ready to fulfill his potential in the Championship.
