Named third best player of the Toulon Tournament 2017 thanks to his fine performances with Ivory Coast, Jean-Thierry Lazare Amani is continuing his development in the Belgian top-flight with KAS Eupen.
The 19-year-old Ivorian midfielder has already played 12 league games this season and distinguished himself few weeks ago during the 2-1 win over Ostende thanks to a stunning assist.
Since joining Belgium in 2016, his improvement has been clear to see but Amani has also identified some areas where he needs to improve. “I have to learn when I have to go forward and when I have to control the tempo”, said the Eupen youngster on an interview to Sport Foot Magazine.
The Aspire Academy product seems to be in the right place to progress as KAS Eupen, now coached by Claude Makelele, boast one of the youngest squads in the Jupiler League.
