He’s not competing yet for a starting spot but Dimitry Bertaud is one of the most highly-rated youngsters at Montpellier.
Only few days after playing the Toulon Tournament 2017 with France, the young French goalkeeper has penned his first professional contract with Montpellier. Then, the 19-year-old keeper made his professional debut on October during the French League Cup game against Guingamp (2-0).
“Dimitry is a youth academy product and he represents the future. He is doing well” said recently the Montpellier head coach Michel Der Zakarian. The latter has decided to give a new opportunity on this Wednesday to Bertaud who started the the French League Cup against Olympique Lyonnais (4-1).
There is plenty of competition in the MHSC squad but Bertaud could be included in the Montpellier's first-team plans in the future if he impresses during his appearances.
