The youngster Ruben Dias made his professional debut on September with Benfica during a Liga NOS game against Boavista.
Since that, the 20-year-old centre-back has enjoyed an astonishing rise as he established himself as a regular in the Benfica starting line-up. Dias has quickly lived up to the expectations as he started 16 games in all competitions this season with the Lisbon based-club.
He also netted his first goal in the Portuguese league on this week-end against Rio Ave (5-1).
This new fine performance from the Benfica starlet has increased the hype surrounding him. Some observers suggest that the Amadora-born could earn his first Portugal call-up in the near future.
Dias, who played the Toulon Tournament 2016, has never been called up with the Seleçao until now.
