Ricardo Pereira confirms his improvement with FC Porto

Ricardo Pereira can be proud. If he is having an amazing season, it is certainly thanks to his past with FC Porto. When he played the Toulon Tournament on 2013, the Portuguese was not yet the player we know today. To achieve his goals and reach this level, the right-back had to leave. After two seasons with the Porto U23 team between 2013 and 2015, Ricardo Pereira was loaned out to OGC Nice two years in a row. In France, he has shone and showed all his talent, playing fifty-seven games and scoring two goals.

The former Vitoria Guimaraes defender impressed everybody and was regarded as the best right-back of Ligue 1. Despite the interest of several Europeans clubs, Pereira came back to Porto last summer. Today, he is one of the key players of the Portuguese club. This season, he has played thirty-five games, started twenty-nine of them and scored two goals so far. He is now a serious candidate to be called-up for the World Cup in June, since he has also played three games with Portugal. That would be and huge and fully deserved reward for him.
