The Toulon Tournament is fast approaching. To wait patiently until the beginning of the 46th edition of the competition (from 26th May to 9th June), let’s take a look at the players who could shine during the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018. Fifteenth player we talk about : Billy Gilmour, Chelsea Scottish midfielder.
He won everything this season : U18 Premier League South and U18 Premier League champion, U18 Premier League Cup and FA Youth Cup winner. To celebrate it, Billy simply posed with his titles, without even smiling, satisfied with what he just accomplished with his teammates. It gives an idea of the self-confidence this player already has.

Four titles, this is something. In one seaon, this is rare. At only 16 years old, this is even more impressive. The young Gilmour has been essential in the Blues’ midfield all along the season. 17 games played, 15 in the starting team and 7 goals scored, one in the U18 Premier League final against Manchester United. When he plays, he marks his print on the game with his extraordinary right foot and his skills. He changes direction with an unbelievable high speed that ables him to eliminate opponents in an elegant and natural manner. He is also a handyman as he takes free-kicks and corners of his team.
According to the English medias, he was recently in the sights of several top European clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona or even Bayern München. But finally, this was Chelsea that signed the rising star last summer. The Blues recruited him for an amount close to 600 000€, even if he had never played on Scottish professional pitches with his previous club Glasgow Rangers. A risky bet that already starts to pay, given his first promising season.
The Glasgow born counts on the Maurice Revello Tournament to perfectly finish his season. Facing France, South Korea and Togo in a tough qualifying group, Scotland and Gilmour have the opportunity to play their cards right to repete, why not, the good performance of the last edition (Scotland finished at the third place of the tournament).
