La Turquie arrache la troisième place aux tirs au but. Au bout d'un match âpre et très fermé au stade Francis Turcan de Martigues, l'Écosse et la Turquie se sont quittés dos à dos au bout des 90 minutes. À l'heure de jeu, le sort de cette petite finale a basculé sur le pénalty râtée de Saint-Clair. Puis c'est au tour d'Oliver Burke d'échouer durant la séance de tirs au but face à Bayindir. La Tartan Army laisse filer la troisième place obtenue un an auparavant face à la République Tchèque. Les Turcs réalisent la deuxième meilleure performance de leur histoire au Festival International Espoirs après la deuxième place de 2012.
