Lainez, Roberts, Oliveira… the Maurice Revello Tournament former players burst onto the international scene

Each international break is the opportunity for several players who took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament to make their international debut. Over the last days, some of them earned their first international cap.

Tyler Roberts (Wales)

The 19-year-old forward made his international debut during the 4-1 win over Ireland in the Nations League. The Leeds United youngster has replaced Gareth Bale with fifteen minutes remaining.

Sergio Oliveira (Portugal)

The FC Porto midfielder earned his first international cap with Seleçao as he came off the bench during the friendly between Portugal and Croatia (1-1).


Yousef Hassan, Sultan Al Brake and Hashim Ali (Qatar)

The friendly against China (1-0) on this Friday has been the opportunity for the head coach Felix Sanchez to test a number of new players. The goalkeeper Yousef Hassan has played the full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet. Meanwhile, the defender Sultan Al-Brake as well the youngster Hashim Ali (who took part in the Maurice Revello Tournament 2018) played their first minutes with the Qatar senior team.

Diego Lainez and Roberto Alvarado (Mexico)

Despite the 1-4 loss, two players will never forget this friendly against Uruguay : Diego Lainez and Roberto Alvarado. The Maurice Revello Tournament 2018 best player and the Cruz Azul midfielder made their international debut during the second half.

Allan Cruz (Costa Rica)

The Herediano player has been included in Los Ticos starting XI against South Korea (0-2). For his international cap, the 22-year-old midfielder has played the full game.
