Crowned champion of Brazil with Palmeiras, Edu Dracena moves one step closer to Brasileirão history

Palmeiras won their tenth league title on last Sunday after beating Vasco de Gama during the Matchday 37 of the Brasileirão.

Aged 37, Edu Dracena has clinched at that time his fourth Brazilian league title after the championships won in 2003 (Cruzeiro), 2015 (Corinthians) and 2016 (Palmeiras).

The former Brazil international (3 caps) has contributed to this success as he started 19 league games. He has notably scored a crucial goal against his former club Santos (3-2).

Edu Dracena has won an enviable amount of silverware in his career : except his four Brazilian league titles, the Brazilian defender has lifted the Copa Libertadores (2011) and the Copa Sudamericana (2013) with Santos, and won a Turkish championship (2007) with Fenerbahçe. And not forgetting the Maurice Revello Tournament trophy lifted in 2002 alongside the likes of AdrianoDani Alves ou encore Diego.
