FC Barcelona have announced on Thursday the signing of Emerson Aparecido. The 20-year-old Brazilian, who played the Maurice Revello Tournament in 2017, has penned a deal which will keep him at the Spanish club until June 2024.
Few weeks ago, we have shared you an information published by several Brazilian outlets : some Euopean clubs were monitoring the situation of the Brazilian right-back Emerson Aparecido, seen at the Maurice Revello Tournament 2017. Including FC Barcelona.

This potential Europe move became a reality over the last days as FC Barcelona announced the arrival of Emerson from Atletico Mineiro on a €12M-deal.
His promising first professional season (23 Brazilian Serie A games, 1 goal) has been enough to convince the legendary Spanish club.

The FC Barcelona new boy will discover La Liga with another club firstly as he has been loaned out immediately to Betis Sevilla until the end of the current campaign. The opportunity for the promising right full-back to adapt to European football before being included in the FC Barcelona squad.
However, we have to wait few weeks before to see him on the Spanish league’s pitches : Emerson is currently playing the South American Championship U20, commonly known as the Sudamericano, with Brazil.
