Il était primordial pour les deux équipes de gagner afin d'avoir une chance de se qualifier pour les demi-finales. Les Chinois, grâce à un doublé de Huanhuan Shan, ont pris le jeu à leur compte au cours de la première période. Les Bahreinis auraient pu revenir dans la partie après la réduction du score sur penalty de Mohamed Hardan, mais Jinghang Hu venait faire le break trois minutes plus tard. Enfin Liangming Lin inscrivait le cinquième but de la partie, clôturant ce match sur le score de 4-1 en faveur des siens.
