Penalties shoot-out defeats are always cruel, but this one will remain especially engraved in the memories of Mexican players. Nippons managed to level the scores two times, equalizing notably two minutes before the end of the regulation time. Then, the Samuraï Blue converted all their penalties to reach the Maurice Revello Tournament final for the first time ever.
