« Nous avions fait un bon match face au Brésil, mais aujourd’hui contre un adversaire frais qui jouait son premier match ça a été plus difficile. Je suis là pour évaluer les joueurs, je tirerai mes conclusions en temps voulu. La blessure de notre défenseur central au bout de vingt minutes et le but encaissé quelques secondes avant la mi-temps nous a fait très mal. Il faut être réaliste, cette défaite réduit beaucoup nos chance de qualification. Quoiqu’il en soit, maintenant il faut penser aux deux matches qui nous reste, il faut gagner contre le Nigéria. »
« We did a great game against Brazil, but today with an opponent who only play his first game, it was more difficult. I’m here to judge the players, I will learn a lot from this tournament. The injury of our defender during the first twenty minutes and the goal just before the half time was very bad for us. We have to be realistic, a lot of opportunities to be qualified disappear today. Whatever, now we have to think about the two coming games, we have to beat Nigeria. »

« On n’a pas mal joué, ça s’est fait sur des détails. L’équipe a bien défendue de manière générale. Nous savions que le Portugal est une bonne équipe. Il ne faut pas non plus oublier que c’est notre deuxième match alors que c’était le premier pour notre adversaire. Nous étions tous forcément très déçus après le match, mais c’est normal. »
« We didn’t play bad, the result is made on details. The team defend well generally. We knew that Portugal is a good team, but we have to remember that this is our second game and it was only the first one for our opponent. We all were really disappointed after the match, but it’s normal. »
