Le marché des transferts bat son plein et de nombreux joueurs changent d’horizon durant cet été. C’est le cas de certains joueurs passés par le Festival International Espoirs. Mathieu Debuchy, vainqueur du tournoi en 2005, quitte Newcastle United pour rejoindre Arsenal. La somme de 10M€ est évoquée à propos du transfert de l’arrière droit français. Pour le remplacer, les Magpies ont fait signer un joueur passé par le tournoi en 2009 : Daryl Janmaat en provenance du Feyenoord Rotterdam.
D’autres transferts importants sont à signaler à l’instar de l’arrivée de Filipe Luis à Chelsea. L’arrière gauche brésilien de l’Atletico Madrid était passé par le Festival en 2004. A noter également que Juan Roman Riquelme, meilleur joueur du Festival en 1998, n’est plus un joueur de Boca Juniors.

The transfer window is now in full swing and some players who took part in the Toulon Tournament are concerned by a move. Mathieu Debuchy, winner of the tournament in 2005, left Newcastle to join Arsenal for a reported 10M€. To replace him, Magpies have signed a player who contested the Festival in 2009 : Daryl Janmaat from Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Another big move has been confirmed. Filipe Luis, who took part in the Toulon Tournament in 2004, left Atletico Madrid to join Chelsea. It should be also noted that Juan Roman Riquelme makes Boca Juniors exit.
