Dans le même temps, le FC Bâle, champion de Suisse, s’attache les services de Walter Samuel en provenance de l’Inter Milan. Le défenseur argentin, vainqueur de la Ligue des Champions en 2010, avait pris part au Festival en 1998.
A noter également que l’attaquant brésilien Lucas Piazon, vainqueur du Festival International Espoirs en 2014, rejoint Francfort tandis que Tiémoué Bakayoko, finaliste, a signé pour l’AS Monaco.

The transfer window is now in full swing and some players who took part in the Toulon Tournament are concerned by a move. Frank Lampard, who contested the tournament in 1998, left Chelsea for New York City FC. The Major League Soccer side will count on the experience of the Chelsea's all-time leading goalscorer (211 goals).
In the same time, the FC Basel recruited Walter Samuel from Inter Milan. The Argentinian defender, Champion’s League 2010 winner, took part in the Festival in 1998.
It should be also noted that Lucas Piazo, Toulon Tournament 2014 winner with Brazil, joins Frankfurt while Tiémoué Bakayoko, Toulon Tournament 2014 runner-up with France, joins AS Monaco.
