Antonio Garrido n'est plus
Antonio Garrido a été l’un des premiers arbitres portugais à s’illustrer sur le plan international. Il a notamment arbitré trois matches de Coupe du Monde. Deux en 1978 et un en 1982. Il fut notamment le premier arbitre portugais international à arbitrer une finale de Coupe des Champions (désormais appelée Ligue des Champions). C’était en 1980 lors du sacre de Nottingham Forest face à Hambourg.
Passé par les plus grandes compétitions mondiales, Antonio Garrido avait également pris part au Festival International Espoirs en 1981. C’est d’ailleurs lui qui avait arbitré la finale du tournoi, cette année-là, lorsque le Brésil triompha de la Tchécoslovaquie.
