During the matchday 1 of the Champion’s League, two Toulon Tournament former players were absolutely brilliant with their teams.
The first is Yacine Brahimi (France – 2010). The Algerian international marked his UEFA Champions League debut with an outstanding hat-trick. He shown all his talent with a second brilliant solo goal. Then, Yacine Brahimi completed his treble with a sumptuous curling free-kick.

The second player who was very efficient was Gervinho (Ivory Coast – 2007). The AS Roma forward was the best player on the pitch as Roma comfortably beat CSKA Moscow (5-1). Gervinho scored twice and gave an assist.

In the other games, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Netherlands – 2001) scored the equalizing goal Schalke 04 against Chelsea (1-1). In the group D, Dennis Praet (Belgium – 2013) help Anderlecht to rescue a point against Galatasaray in scoring the opening goal (1-1). To finish, Real Madrid destroyed FC Basel (5-1) thanks in particular to Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal – 2003) and James Rodriguez (Colombia – 2011) who scored both.
