Des matches internationaux se sont déroulés ce week-end et plusieurs joueurs passés par le Festival International Espoirs étaient concernés par des rencontres.

En Europe, il y avait des matches de qualifications pour l’Euro 2016. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal – 2003) s’est distingué en marquant le but de la victoire pour le Portugal face à l’Arménie (1-0). En Afrique, ce sont les qualifications pour la CAN 2015 qui se déroulent actuellement. L’Algérie s’est imposée face à l’Ethiopie (3-1) et Yacine Brahimi (France – 2010) a contribué à ce succès en marquant un but.

Au même moment, des pays prenaient part à des matches amicaux. Le Japon a balayé le Honduras (6-0) et le doit en partie à Keisuke Honda (Japon – 2007) et Maya Yoshida (Japon – 2007) qui ont chacun inscrit un but. Enfin, Layvin Kurzawa (France – 2013) a obtenu sa première sélection en Equipe de France A lors du match nul des Bleus face à l’Albanie (1-1).

This week-end, some players who took part in the Toulon Tournament were involved in international games with their countries.

In Europe, there were Euro 2016 qualifying matches. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal – 2003) distinguished himself in scoring the winning-goal game for Portugal against Armenia (1-0). In Africa, there were AFCON 2015 qualifiers. Algeria beat Ethiopia (3-1) and Yacine Brahimi (France – 2010) scored one of the three goals of the team.

At the same time, some countries took part in friendly games. Japan destroyed Honduras (6-0) and can thank Keisuke Honda (Japan – 2008) and Maya Yoshida (Japan – 2008) who scored both. Finally, Layvin Kurzawa (France – 2013) earned his first international cap during the draw between France and Albania (1-1).
