Every week, we take our usual look around the best championships to follow the performances of the players who contested the Toulon Tournament in the past.
In England, Saido Berahino (England – 2014) was absolutely fantastic with his team. The English forward has scored four times during the WBA easy win over Gateshead (7-0) in a FA Cup game. In France, Valère Germain (France – 2012) distinguished himself as he scored one of the two AS Monaco’s goals against Nîmes Olympique (2-0).
In Spain, Real Madrid lost against Valencia (1-2) even if Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal – 2003) has scored his 26th goal in la Liga. Earlier, Ivan Cavaleiro (Portugal – 2013) has netted the winning goal for Deportivo La Coruna against Athletic Bilbao (1-0).
To finish, a word about Yacine Brahimi (France – 2010). The Algeria attacking midfielder contributed to the FC Porto win against Vitoria Guimaraes (5-1) thanks to a goal.
