La France va disputer le Festival pour la 38e fois
Les Bleuets repartent sur un nouveau cycle. Ils ont été éliminés en barrages de l’Euro 2015 par la Suède, en octobre dernier. Une défaite qui privera la France donc de l’Euro U21 mais aussi des Jeux Olympiques 2016. La génération des Layvin Kurzawa, Gianelli Imbula ou encore Paul-Georges Ntep, tous passés par le Festival, a laissé passer sa chance.
La désillusion passée, la France va venir disputer le Festival International Espoirs afin de construire un nouveau groupe en vue de préparer l’Euro U21 qui se déroulera en 2017 en Pologne.
Finaliste l’an passé, la sélection française n’a plus remporté ce tournoi depuis 2007. Cette année-là, un certain Kevin Gameiro (actuellement au FC Séville) avait été élu meilleur joueur et meilleur buteur de la compétition.

France will take part in the Toulon Tournament for the 38th time
During the next weeks, we will unveil you the name of the teams which will take part in the 2015 Toulon Tournament. This time, we talk about France which will contest the Festival for the 38th time !
The “Bleuets” will write a new chapter of their history during the next months. They were eliminated in the 2015 Euro U21 qualifier by Sweden, in October. This defeat had a huge consequences : France will not play the Euro U21 and the 2016 Olympic Games. The generation of Layvin Kurzawa, Gianelli Imbula or Paul-Georges Ntep, who all took part in the Toulon Tournament, misses its chance.
After this failure, France will contest the Festival with a main aim : build a new squad for the 2017 Euro U21 in Poland.
The French national team finished runner-up last year and didn’t win this competition since 2007. This year, France won the Festival and was led by Kevin Gameiro. The current striker of Sevilla FC was named best player and best scorer of the tournament.
