Le retour des Pays-Bas au Festival
Les jeunes Néerlandais sont en phase de reconstruction. Ils ont été éliminés lors des barrages de l’Euro 2015 par le Portugal, en octobre dernier. Un revers qui privera les Pays-Bas de compétition continentale mais également des Jeux Olympiques 2016.
La sélection néerlandaise viendra donc disputer le Festival International Espoirs dans le but de construire une nouvelle équipe pour l’Euro 2017.
La dernière participation des « Oranje » remonte à 2012. Cette année-là, les Pays-Bas avaient terminé troisième du tournoi. Par ailleurs, leur portier Nick Marsman, évoluant actuellement au FC Twente (première dvision néerlandaise) avait été élu meilleur gardien du tournoi.
A noter que les Pays-Bas n’ont jamais remporté le Festival International Espoirs. Une statistique qui sera sûrement dans un coin de la tête des jeunes Néerlandais.

Netherlands return to the Toulon Tournament
During the next weeks, we will unveil you the name of the teams which will take part in the 2015 Toulon Tournament. This time, we talk about Netherlands which will contest in the Festival fort the 18th time !
The young Dutch players were eliminated in the 2015 Euro U21 qualifier by Portugal. This setback had a huge consequences : Netherlands will not play the European championship and the 2016 Olympic Games. After that, the “Oranje” will contest the 2015 Toulon Tournament with the desire to build a new squad for the 2017 Euro.
Netherlands return to the Toulon Tournament for the first time since 2012. This year, the Dutch national team finished third of the competition. Otherwise, their goalkeeper Nick Marsman, who currenty playing for FC Twente (Dutch first dvision), was named best goalkeeper of the tournament.
It should also be noted that Netherlands have never won the Toulon Tournament. That statistic may be in the back of their mind.
