"This draw doesn't taste like a defeat. The group should improve in several domains to avoid losing advantage with lost balls. Our opponents had their chances because of our mistakes, this is the most frustrating in this game. On the paper, the team was maybe better last year. But I had the feeling that the group came like in holidays. This year, players have a strong motivation. When a Mexican selection comes, it is with the aim to win the tournament. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes not. But the goal always is to win the competition."
Angel Zaldivar (milieu du Mexique) : "L'équipe va s'améliorer"
"Face à une équipe très forte physiquement, nous avons su répondre au fil des minutes. Je pense que l’équipe va s’améliorer au fur et à mesure du tournoi. On doit s’améliorer dans tous les secteurs notamment sur la liaison entre le milieu du terrain et l’attaque. On n’a pas eu beaucoup d’occasions aujourd’hui. On veut tout donner sur le terrain pour essayer de remporter ce tournoi."

"Face to a physically strong team, we knew how to respond during the game. I think the team will improve itself in the next games. We have to improve in all domains, especially in the link between midfield and attack. We didn't have many chances today. We want to give our best on the pitch and try to win the tournament."
