Aged 19 only, the Japanese youngster, able to play in both midfield and defense, has seduced the fans at the Sud Ladies Cup. Few months later, Kanno earned honors on both individual and collective levels, confirming that she's one of the brightest young talents in Asia.
Despite her young age, Kanno forced her way into the Nippon TV Beleza first-team and helped the Nadeshiko League giants to win once again the Japanese league's title.

Few days later, Kanno returned to the Japan national team U19 in order to take part in the Asian Championship U19. This competition was the opportunity for the Japanese starlet to showcase her exceptional talent.
The Young Nadeshiko won the Asian Championship (2-1 win in final against DPR Korea) and can thank the Nippon TV Beleza who was outstanding throughout the tournament. Technically gifted, Kanno shone during each game of the Asian Championship and finished the competition with a tally of two goals and three assists (including one in final).
A consistency and a level of play rewarded by the Asian Championship U19 best player award handed by the organizers.

Rather than bragging too much about this achievement, Kanno preferred to project herself into the future. Plutôt que de se gargariser de cette distinction individuelle, Kanno a préféré se projeter sur l’avenir au moment de livrer son ressenti sur cette récompense : « As a player there are various aspects of my game that need improvement, for example, I couldn’t score against DPR Korea […] My long-term goal is to be selected for the senior national team. I’m not satisfied with winning the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship. Our work is not over as we have to start planning for the World Cup », she said to the Asian Football Confederation website.
Thanks to their win in the Asian Championship U19, Kanno and her teammates secured their spot for the upcoming World Cup U20 held on July in Nigeria.
