Castillo s’éclate avec l’Universidad Catolica !
Deux ans après avoir quitté l’Universidad Catolica (Chili) pour tenter sa chance en Europe, Nicolas Castillo, passé par le Tournoi de Toulon 2014, a décidé de retourner au sein de son club formateur l’hiver dernier. Et au vu de ses performances, on peut légitimement affirmer que Castillo a fait le bon choix. Depuis janvier et son retour effectif à l’Universidad Catolica sous forme de prêt en provenance du FC Bruges (Belgique), Castillo affiche des statistiques impressionnantes : 11 buts en 9 matchs de championnat !
Ses performances lui ont également permis de retourner en équipe nationale du Chili puisqu’il a obtenu sa 2e sélection internationale lors du succès de la Roja face au Venezuela (4-1) pour le compte des éliminatoires de la Coupe du Monde 2018. Après une expérience mitigée en Europe, Castillo semble retrouver sa meilleure forme lors de ces derniers mois !
