Radu Petrescu, l’arbitre roumain poursuit son ascension
En l’espace de quelques mois, l’arbitre roumain Radu Petrescu a eu l’occasion d’officier à plusieurs reprises en France. Les observateurs ont pu notamment le voir à l’œuvre en mai dernier lors du Festival International Espoirs où il fut l’arbitre central de Mexique-République Tchèque (1-2) et France-Mali (2-1). Petrescu est ensuite revenu ce mardi dans l’Hexagone et plus précisément à Lens afin d’arbitrer le match amical entre la France et la Côte d’Ivoire (0-0).
A seulement 34 ans, Petrescu s’est imposé comme l’un des hommes forts de l’arbitrage roumain. Officiant dans le championnat local depuis plusieurs années, l’homme en noir s’est également distingué sur la scène internationale en arbitrant l’été dernier des rencontres de l’Euro U19 ou encore plus récemment des matchs de l’Europa League.
