Egy Vikri made his professional debut with Lechia Gdansk

By signing for the Polish side Lechia Gdansk on March, Egy Virki became the first Indonesian ever to join a European club playing in a domestic top-flight.

This transfer which took effect on July after his eighteenth birthday has increased the excitement surrounding the teenager.

Despite this context, the Lechia Gdansk staff gave to the Maurice Revello Tournament 2017 breakthrough player the time needed to adapt to his new life. The Indonesia international (3 caps) has firstly featured with the reserve team before making some appearances on the first-team bench. Without playing a single minute however.

Eventually his Ekstraklasa bow came on Saturday night as the 18-year-old attacking midfielder came off the bench during the 4-0 win over Gornik Zabre.

After avoiding narrowly relegation last season, Lechia Gdansk are currently atop of the Polish league, three points ahead title holders Legia Warsaw.
