Romero aide l’Argentine à atteindre les demi-finales de la Copa America
C’est finalement l’Albiceleste qui s’impose aux penaltys face aux Colombiens (0-0, 5-4 pen). Sergio Romero, qui a pris part au Festival International Espoirs 2006, a été décisif en détournant le tir de Camilo Zuniga lors de la séance de tirs aux buts.
De son côté, le capitaine argentin Javier Mascherano, meilleur joueur du Festival International Espoirs 2003, a contribué au succès des siens en ayant réalisé une prestation sans faute en défense.
L’Argentine affrontera en demi-finales le vainqueur de Brésil-Paraguay.

Romero helps Argentina to reach the Copa America’s semi-finals
Ten Toulon Tournament former players took part in the Copa America quarter final between Argentina and Colombia. More precisely, three Argentinians (Romero, Mascherano, Banega) and seven Colombians (Zapata, Murillo, Arias, Cardona, Muriel, Rodriguez, Falcao).
Finally, the Albiceleste beat Colombia on penalties (0-0, 5-4 pen). Sergio Romero, who contested the 2006 Toulon Tournament, was decisive as he blocked the Camilo Zuniga’s shot during the penalty shootout.
Javier Mascherano, the Argentina’s captain has also contributed to this win as the 2003 Toulon Tournament best player realized a flawless performance.
Argentina will face the winner of Brazil-Paraguay.
